It's dark, cold, and foggy as Denique Cole stands on a bridge considering suicide. Just as he's about to jump in, he meets a sculptor with a magic chisel. For a handful of money, the mysterious man wants to use Denique as a model for his next statue. When Denique accepts, this midnight transaction ushers him into a fantasy world where he becomes imprisoned inside the statue, and only love will break the spell. A young man intrigued with the statue walks through the park every night, talks to it, and ultimately falls in love with it. He doesn't realize that Denique is an actual person until they finally get together through a dream. When Kip McCall decides he can't love a statue, he turns away. This drives Denique back to the bridge. Will his watery plunge kill him, or will he see Kip in another life where all of Kip's memories of this strange tale have been wiped away?
