Museum assistant David Carlyle is working for Professor Gunther Edmunds, unpacking some ancient Greek artifacts from a private collector who willed them to the collection. David is mooning over Gunther as he rambles on about the various pieces. Though Gunther is in his forties, 23-year-old David is drawn to his intellect, his expertise in the ancient world, and his rugged looks, which remind David of a modern Hercules.
Sadly, Gunther seems interested only in his work and not in flirtation of any kind…until David finds a little clay jar in one of the cases. The jar is inscribed in Greek, and some research reveals that it contains an ancient love potion from Aphrodite's temple. Soon David sneaks a little into Gunther's coffee, eager to find out if the magic of Aphrodite can still work in 21st-century New York City. But even he isn't prepared for what happens next!
