Comprising a raucous series of irreverent entries along with quite a few serious commentaries the “The Gay Daze That Is My Life” will amuse, shock and perhaps give much cause for thought to the reader. Set out in a form of a series of diary blurbs about his life the book offers a delicious tart filled commentary on the foibles of members of the gay community while in addition taking a witty scalpel to the homophobes gays confront on a daily basis. Totally controversial and wildly unconcerned with political correctness the author firmly pontificates about the correct forms of proper gay etiquette whether it be regarding ‘gay fights' or ‘getting dumped', cheerily explains the joy of gay shopping and, lays out the hazards of those interesting ‘foreign affairs'. Here are a few quips found inside: Gays who support Republicans: Bottoms who can't get enough of it! Gay birthdays: An older gay guy needs to pick an outrageously younger year and just stick too it. If dogs can get away with this weird ‘dog-years' conversion routine why not you. Religious opponents of gay marriage: They are just scared the altar boy will ask for a ring next time! Gay women: They meet, they mate, they buy flannel and corduroy. That pretty much says it all until they cruise us gay guys for a ‘child-making donation'. Foreign affairs: Germans I will admit have a certain flair for uniforms and leather but how many times can one play Poland for them! If they are Russian they insist you be every Baltic state!
