The Field Trip — Bridy McAvoy

Cara knows leading the field trip into the woods to capture the glory of the autumnal colours is important to Phil, her boyfriend, He needs the extra credit to help with his post-graduate course, and the chance of a teaching position next year. It's a straight coin toss, accompany Phil and the undergraduates, or stay at home at a loose end and on her own, seeing as her own course doesn't start for another week. Despite knowing it'll be cold at night up in the forest covered hills, she agrees to go with them.

By the time she realises Phil and the others have more in mind than simply photographing leaves, it's too late to back out!
