'Constricted heart ventricle' was cited as the reason for Diana's death. But Samantha--columnist for the college magazine--thinks otherwise. After all, having stayed at building three of the hostel, she was only too familiar with the rumors about the top floor of building five. Samantha's upcoming column would be on Diana's mysterious death, and her deadline for submission was fast nearing.

As Samantha wanders along the picturesque hostel premises in deep thought, she runs into Sonia and her apartment mates. Samantha is surprised to learn that the girls have something sensational to reveal to her. The girls initially refuse to assist Samantha. However, Sonia breaks out and offers help, much to the annoyance of Mary.

"Sometimes you lose in life," Mary would comment later in a weak and defeated voice.

Well...

Why was Mary so annoyed?

Why did she become so sad?

Will she return to her normal and cheerful state?
