Charlotte opened her eyes, and sighed.

She was looking at a veritable fairyland of dust glitters â€" candles were all over the place. He had tied back the curtains surrounding his canopy bed and scattered red and pink rose petals all over the floor in a path to the bed.

On the bed were black silk sheets with more rose petals scattered. He seemed to have also raided the wine cellar because there was an elegant ice bucket on the coffee table containing ice and a bottle of champagne, along with two champagne flutes.

“Oh, Brennan,” Charlotte exclaimed. “This looks enchanting. How did you manage it in such a short time?”

“I thought I took such a long time! Do you like it?” he asked.

Looking at him with shining eyes, he thought she might cry. “This is absolutely perfect!” she said.

She stood on her toes to give him a kiss, and his arms went around her waist and he pulled her to him. The kiss became heated, but Brennan took time to pull away to untie her belt and open her robe. He took a deep breath as she was revealed to him in her sexy lingerie. He pushed the robe from her shoulders until it dropped to the floor.

“So beautiful… you're so beautiful. I can't wait to make love to you,” he whispered in a hoarse voice.

Then he scooped her up in his arms and carried her to the bed where he laid her back against the pillows and the rose petals.
