Bonnie McQuay has only been in town for a short time, but it was long enough to spark Rhett Blackridge's interest. Her fast friendship with both his sister and sister-in-law is why he so curious. At least that was the excuse he used for trying to find out more about her. Really it was the burning desire he felt for Bonnie that was driving him. Bonnie's attracted to Rhett, but getting involved with him was too risky. Rhett is intent on finding out as much about her as possible. There are things she doesn't want anyone to know. Bonnie is faced with either moving on, or steeling in and getting a job against her better judgment she takes a job working for Rhett. It isn't long before Bonnie winds up in his bed. Deep down she'd known it was inevitable, but having sex with Rhett only makes him more determined to get her to open up to him. His nosiness has the opposite effect and sends her running.
