Jack Trent is an FBI agent who's been on the trail of a slick conman who's bilked millions of dollars from investors. A trace on a phone has led him to Sera Spencer whom Jack is convinced is either Mannie Somner's girlfriend or his daughter. Only problem is, she's either innocent of any knowledge of Somner's crimes or she's a great actress. Either way, Jack's in trouble since he's falling for her.
