Jean Grey isn't hunting for a man, let alone two, but her heart is open to the possibility. It's a good thing, too, because a brush with death puts her in Brant and Scott's strong, capable arms. But, when one of them is nearly taken from her, she wonders if she can truly stay there forever. Once paramedic Scott Warton gets his hands on Jean, he knows he's never going to want to let her go. But, Brant is making fulfilling that dream difficult. Scott doesn't mind sharing Jean, but a demon from Brant's past threatens to prevent that from happening. After fire lieutenant Brant Kagan failed to save the woman he loved, he forgot how to really live. When he meets Jean, he doesn't want to want her. But, as things heat up, he realizes he might've been the one to rescue her from her brush with death, but she has rescued him from a life of loneliness and despair.
