Seven years ago Timothy Perry, a playwright, lost the love of his life to the scheming of his agent. Heartbroken over the voluntary disappearance of his young lover, Tim moved from New York to Montana and eventually succumbed to a writer's block. His luxurious house sits on 30 acres of pure silence, just the way he likes it. His only companions are the elderly housekeeper Mrs. A and a bunch of rainbow trout in the lake on his property. Somehow the trout ground him, even though his strategy of not eating them confuses just about everyone he knows. When he remembers he hasn't been taking care of the lake like the previous owner instructed, he panics and calls the fishery for help. The help arrives quickly. To Timothy's shock, he recognizes the man as his lost lover, Caleb. The twinky blond artist Timothy knew in New York is long gone, and in his place is a tattooed man with an auburn ponytail, a working man's body and a no-nonsense attitude. Now all they can do is try to figure out what to do with the past that haunts them, the present that seems so different, and a future-if they have one.
