Eliza Cameron is used to being one of the guys. Having spent her childhood chasing four older brothers around the family farm, joining the army was a no brainer for Eliza-in spite of her family's protests. Determined to prove her family wrong, she throws herself into officer training and soon finds herself surrounded by men who, after some convincing, grow to respect and appreciate her. Danny Anderson has a real problem trusting women. His family was only the first in a long line of betrayals. Every woman he'd ever had a relationship with was either been unfaithful or dishonest, and he had enough. ROTC led to a career as an engineer officer, and he's prepared to spend his life serving his country, and avoiding women at all cost. Until he meets Eliza. They'll fight each other every step of the way; but if they can look past their prejudices, they just might be a perfect match. After meeting Danny, Eliza is convinced that he's another typical sexist macho-man who can't handle working with women. Despite how her head feels though, her body can't seem to take a hint and wants the man desperately. Danny knows that, even if Eliza seems different from other women on the outside, she's no different from the rest. But working together forces them to get to know one another and soon, they discover that there's more to each other than meets the eye.
