Prince of Wolves

Josey has never known his birth father. All he knows about him is that he's a shifter who knocked his mom up and then abandoned her. His mother wanted to keep it that way, and he respected her wishes; Bey is a private sort of person, even from her favorite husband and only son. Fortunately, Josey has three awesome stepfathers who have kept him from feeling any kind of deprivation over the years. Because of that, Josey has never bothered to look into his genetic history too terribly far. He loved his life, he loved his family; why mess with perfection? That attitude served him well for twenty-two years; but everything changes the night he takes his brother Billy to Reno to celebrate his 21st birthday. A mysterious stranger poisons Billy's drink, forcing Josey to frantically race him to the hospital then back to the bar for the glass which held the poison. Evidence in hand, he zips back toward the hospital as fast as he can go, only to be accosted by the same mysterious stranger in an alleyway. Josey, furious and annoyed, fights the stranger. He's rarely lost a fight, and he hasn't lost one in over a decade. He doesn't think twice about challenging the middle-aged villain, and he's out for blood. Nobody messes with his little brother but him. Josey quickly regrets the fight. He loses, in a big way, knocking himself out against a dumpster when the stranger dodges a bit more quickly than would be natural for even the most practiced shifter. Josey's unconscious body is spirited away in an expensive car to places unknown. Josey comes to in a cramped cage made of bars that burn his skin. Beside him, a small, younger-looking man is in a similar predicament. Problem is, the boy doesn't seem to care. Nor is he very forthcoming about where they are or why they're there. Over the course of their capture, Josey uncovers secrets which go back centuries; including the identity of his father, and why his pregnant mother had been abandoned. He answers questions he didn't even know he had; through the course of his investigation, he uncovers the troubling and enticing truth about his cellmate. Josey must make a choice about where his loyalties lie. With boys like himself, kept there against their will? With his family back home, who don't even know about his predicament? With his sullenly sexy cellmate made of secrets and wrapped in desire? Or with his biological family, the kings and rulers of a subculture of werewolves that Josey hadn't even known about before now? Will Josey choose to stay in his backwoods dugout home with his family, or will he take his rightful place as the Prince of Wolves?
