She stepped into the cab and slid across the bench seat until she could go no further. As she was dead center in the truck she had to straddle the stick shift. It wasn't the first time she had a gear shift between her legs and it probably wouldn't be the last.

Brian slid in beside her and his hard thigh brushed against her naked one. Given her position, she had to hike her skirt a bit in order to spread her legs to straddle the gear shift. Her thigh tingled at the touch of his and her body warmed for reasons having nothing to do with the hot Arizona sun.

He turned the key and the truck started up immediately, much to her irritation. Why couldn't her Jeep have started so easily? Brian grabbed the gear and shifted it back, his arm brushing her inner thigh.

“I apologize,” he murmured and lifted his hand so he didn't touch her. Amber slid a glance to Brian out of the corner of her eye. This was how they had first met. Though she had seen him in the parking lot of the apartment complex and they nodded when the passed, they had not spoken. Not until her car was broken down on the side of the road between her apartment and the base. It was Brian who had pulled over and offered her a lift.

A smile pulled at her lips. Now she knew why he addressed her in such a manner. This had to be the date. Amber bit her bottom lip to keep the grin away from her face and heat surged further. Exactly what had Brian wanted to do to her at that first meeting?
