Chapter One
Marcus stared at her, feeling a little slighted. She had once again been in Erin's arms, and it made him growl to just think about it. He could feel his eyes darken with red, even this early in the evening. It used to be nothing. He had even indulged Erin with more time than her. It wasn't like he had the time to spend, but it was getting ridiculous.
“Are you too tired again?” Marcus said, and it came out a little bitterer than he had expected. She was sitting in front of the vanity that they had bought her, and she didn't see them in the mirror. She smiled, turning to Marcus, but there was a nervousness there in her eyes, and Marcus momentarily felt guilt. He knew he had put it there.
“I'm fine.” She said, but Marcus could see the bags under her eyes. He wanted to curse Erin. He hadn't bitten or bedded her in three days, and he was sure Erin had been doing it multiple times, driving her to this state.
“I see. You're fine, and I suppose you just need more cover up, yes?” He teased her, trying to be light hearted, but her smile once again turned a little sour.
