Gretchen “Mari” Marigold is a good girl, doing as her family expects, restraining from tumbling over the edge, sexually, although taking the plunge fascinates her. When she hears about the hot sex her best friend has with her husband, Mari hungers to be naughty, but she hasn't found the right man to feed her passions.

Then at her cousin's wedding, Mari meets Rushmore Lay, owner of a B&B in Maine. He needs a writer to develop scripts for his upcoming Murder Mystery Weekends, and unemployed writer Mari jumps at the opportunity. She also jumps on Rush, who promises that when she visits Maine, she's going to be very, very naughty.

Mari likes that idea a great deal, even if Rush is only looking for sex. Or is he? Will the couple that plans on doing nothing more than misbehave be able to leave each other when the script is finished?
