Kathryn Richards, having recently graduated with her PhD, is ready to begin her first library position at the prestigious UCLA. Things should finally be going her way, but unfortunately she runs into one challenge after another including running out of gas, pissing off her employer, falling for a man already spoken for, and falling victim to one of LA's infamous category five earthquakes.
