The waitress hadn't been gone five minutes before she returned, setting down duplicates of the drinks she'd just served. They turned their heads and nodded, at two familiar faces. Gabe and Ted, having their attention, smiled and waved. When they waved back, Gabe scrambled out of the booth, and headed their way. He sat down between them. "We'd be honored if the two prettiest ladies in this establishment joined us." Jaz smiled and teased playfully, "So go ask them." Gabe's narrowed eyes simmered with molten heat. "Oh, but I just did." Brenda stared at her wristwatch. "You know, Jaz, since I'm engaged, I'm tempted to leave you in Gabe and Ted's capable hands."
