The mansion didn't seem so menacing the next day. They'd pulled up the drive and headed into the house like it held absolutely nothing inside that they were worried about. Frank said he though that was the only way to do things, like you didn't have a care in the world. That that's why he'd thought it such a good idea to take the day off yesterday. Not that they were on any kind of real schedule, but they both thought it important to get some kind of closure as soon as possible. It would have seemed not only strange but hugely irresponsible to both of them if they'd just decided to allow such a huge loose end like two ghosts of her husband haunting her house unchecked.
