Although Tristan's Uncle Eldridge always told him it was just as easy to fall in love with a wealthy gay man as it was to fall in love with a poor gay man Tristan was always more interested in falling love with the right man than he was in finding money or prestige. While growing up and observing his uncle's many gay friends in long-term relationships Tristan's main goal in life was to fall in love with the man of his dreams and get married.
