For Gabrielle, date night was an important tradition, no, a ritual. She banished her husband from the bedroom so she could get ready on her own, and the color of her shoes was the clue that told him what kind of a date night she wanted. When Gabrielle appeared in the same gold sandals, it was obvious to Mike she hadn't been able to go as far as she'd wanted to at the neighborhood party the week before.
