"Oh yeah?" Mark raised an eyebrow, looking down at the book through his beer-filled haze, slightly intrigued.
"Yeah. I've done some of the little spells in here, for like, luck and other things. It seems to work. Like, every single time. I've hitchhiked halfway across the country without a problem, using stuff from this book. There's big stuff in here too, charms for like, love and money and all that, but I've been kind of afraid to use it."
"Love spells, eh?" Mark was becoming hooked. He was in a low place. Nothing was going right for him. He could just imagine being able to wave his hands and make Lauren, or any girl, fall in love with him and want to be with him. It seemed like exactly what he needed.
