19-year-old film student Trini Diaz thinks she has everything: a hot boyfriend, a loyal best friend named Mac, and a mom who's pretty cool. Over winter break, this all gets turned upside down. And maybe that's a good thing. 20-year-old Mac lives at home with his parents. He has no ambition to leave, or at least that's what many people think. One night he takes a chance, kissing Trini and confessing his true feelings. Even if she doesn't feel the same, Mac knows that making that leap of faith is the only way to move ahead.
