Gregori, the Master of Clan Nighthawk, has little interest in providing sanctuary to little lost fledglings. Warm and welcoming has never really been his style. So when he's informed that a fledgling female has just entered Club Nighthawk to beg for protection, his first instinct is to kick her right back out the door.

Until he finds out that Helene is the fledgling of Clan Wolfbane's Master, that is. Keeping the fledgling of Gregori's greatest rival from returning home would be a blow to the Wolfbane Clan pride. Of course, eventually Gregori would send her back -- to do otherwise would be to provoke a full-out war. He just planned on doing it a piece at a time.
