When a romance writer and a divorcee cross paths, what starts out as a pleasant impromptu lunch quickly snowballs once Lacy Cain reveals her profession as a romance writer. Ben Carson believes the novels to be the demise of his marriage and doesn't hold back his opinion of the fictitious tales. As fate would have it, the two cross paths once more that day, but almost at the cost of Lacy's life. Ben strikes her with his truck when she darts out into the street hot on the heels of her run-away dog.
