Travis and Hunter had been legally married in Massachusetts and blissfully happy till leukemia claimed Hunter's life. Now, still in mourning after all this time, Travis, a marine biologist, has rented a beachfront cottage out of season for work purposes. One rainy day, chance brings Tony to his front door, and Travis, who thought he could never love again, finds himself experiencing feelings he thought he'd never again know. But after a warmly compatible day and evening and a scorching hot night, Travis is seized with guilt over having such feelings for a man who isn't his late husband. Reluctantly, he tells Tony that despite their mutual feelings for each other, it isn't right and he needs to break it off. That seems to be the end of what could have been a blossoming loveā¦till a voice from the past speaks to Travis and shakes him up considerably.
